THANH HAI WATER PUPPETRY - PRESERVING A UNIQUE CULTURAL HERITAGE

Abstract

In 2012, the water puppet art of Hai Duong province was recorded in the list of intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Water puppetry is one of the unique creations of the people in the Red River Delta. Thanh Hai Water Puppet Troupe, Thanh Ha District is one of three water puppet troupes that exist and develop till these days in Hai Duong Province.
