THE MULTI‑ETHNIC STRUCTURE OF SAI GON – HO CHI MINH CITY, PREMISE FOR EXPANDING ACCULTURATION PROCESS

Abstract

Acculturation process in terms of international integration in Saigon ­ Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), which is the convergence of ethnic groups (Vietnamese, Hoa, Cham, Khmer....) and other ethnic groups. Preferential natural conditions, “open” economy make the process of expanding acculturation process from the diversity of ethnic communities in the old Saigon area, now Ho Chi Minh City has historical and synchronous origins always create many different colors, still preserved and promoted.
