Abstract
Preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage associated with the role of community actors has always been a matter of concern to managers and researchers. Being one of the unique intangible cultural heritage, the game of pháo đất (earthcrackers) – a traditional game, appearing in riverside villages of the Red River Delta – has been restored, preserved and promoted by the community of Tien Hai village (Tan Lien, Vinh Bao, Hai Phong) into a unique cultural activity of the village in the current period. Within the framework of an article, the author, through the generalization of conservation activities and promoting the value of the pháo đất game, focuses on clarifying the role of community actors the owners who protect, create, and pass on the heritage to the next generation in Tien Hai village, thereby proposing some solutions and recommendations to improve the role of community actors in the protection of heritage. intangible cultural heritage in the future.
