Abstract

The art of architecture and sculpture of Vietnamese tombs has a distinctive appearance because of the role and function of memorializing and worshiping characters who once had status in society such as kings, mandarins, generals, and districts. labour. The system of worshiping statues in the tombs of the 17th and 18th centuries are mainly stone statues of various sizes and designs. The main worshiped mascots are: Dragon, elephant, horse, lion, dog, Nghe, crocodile... on these stone statues are often decorated with patterns that increase the beauty as well as the sacredness and authority. for those who are worshiped at the mausoleum. Education in the art of mascots in the tombs of the 17th and 18th centuries meets the needs of fine art training in the context of national renewal. At the same time, it contributes to renewing the method of promoting and propagating the value of folk art in the process of globalization integration.
