Abstract
Budd-Chiari syndrome is a rare entity caused by obstruction of the hepatic venous outflow. The obstruction can be located in the venules up to the inferior vena cava into the right atrium. The causes of the disease are diverse and the distribution varies by geographical region. Depending on the cause, the progression, prognosis and treatment options will also be different. Therefore, we would like to introduce 3 clinical cases of Budd-Chiari syndrome caused by 3 different causes to illustrate the diversity of manifestations of this syndrome as well as the role of imaging in the diagnosis and management of this disease.
