Socialist democracy and implementation of democracy in Vietnam today

Abstract

As a milestone of democracy, the socialist democracy is the next stair, the successor of the bourgeois democracy; it is the success of the struggle for national liberation, and people’s aspirations for freedom and mastership enrooted by objective rules and the development of the production forces. The study analyzes main issues of the socialist democracy and the process of implementing, supplementing and developing the democratic theory in implementation of democracy in Vietnam, especially since the national renewal in 1986.
