Abstract

In the context of globalization and digital transformation, political communication
has been increasingly playing a vital role in strengthening public trust in the Party and
the State, especially in major urban centers like Ho Chi Minh City, where the population
is diverse and the level of civic awareness is high. This article focuses on analyzing the
current state of political communication in disseminating political information to the
public in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on a qualitative research approach combined with a field
survey of 428 citizens and an analysis of the Party documents and directives promulgated
by the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on media-related matters, the study clarifies
existing practices and proposes five key categories of solutions to enhancing the quality
of political communication in the new era. The findings are expected to contribute to
improving communication effectiveness, fostering societal consensus, and strengthening
the trust of the people of Ho Chi Minh City in the political system in its advancement of
development and integration.
