Identifying the key drivers of socio-economic development in Ho Chi Minh City
Abstract
The development of Vietnam in general, and of Ho Chi Minh City in particular, has confirmed that a society which wishes to develop sustainably must pay attention to the harmony and synchroneity of its development in economic, political, cultural, and social fields. To achieve this goal, identifying and promoting internal and external factors, as well as overcoming existing obstacles, will contribute to sustainable socioeconomic development. Therefore, studying the key drivers of development in Ho Chi Minh City is theoretically and practically significant in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is profoundly impacting various areas of social life. This article focuses on analyzing the major drivers affecting socio-economic development
and proposes solutions to making the most of these drivers in Ho Chi Minh City in the current situation.
