Research capacity of students at Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy

Abstract
Based on an analysis of quantitative survey data from 340 students at Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy, this article discusses the current status of scientific research competency among students and the factors influencing it. The findings reveal that students at Ho Chi Minh City Cadre Academy have higher scores in their attitudes and knowledge perception than in their proficiency in scientific research skills. Various factors within the academy including the faculty, the academy’s policies, and students’ motivations and individual perceptions significantly impact students’ scientific research competence.
