Current situation of developing traditional craft villages in parallel with tourism in Tra Vinh province

Abstract

In recent years, the marriage of traditional craft villages and tourism has emerged as a new development trend in Trà Vinh Province. Not only has this integration generated new sources of income for the local community but it has also aided the preservation and development of traditional crafts. Trà Vinh, endowed with ecotourism and cultural potentiality, has attracted a large number of tourists, particularly those who seek to immerse themselves in folk culture and explore traditional craft villages. The synergism between production and tourism has yielded economic and social benefits for the local community, concurrently fostered a positive living and working environment for its residents. Through meticulous research, the author has assessed the current developmental status of craft villages up to the present time. Additionally, the author has explored possibilities and proposed solutions to the future development of these craft villages integrated with tourism in Trà Vinh Province. Based on these reasons, the author has selected the topic of the current situation of developing traditional craft villages in parallel with tourism in Trà Vinh Province as the focus of the research.
