Perfecting the statute on chairmanship of the people’s committee at the ward level in the urban government model in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

In the process of setting up the urban government in Ho Chi Minh City, as the head of the State administrative agency in the grassroots government, the chairman of the People’s Committee at the ward level plays a particularly important role in effecting the Party’s policies and the State’s laws, contributing to serving the people and society better. Therefore, perfecting the statute of People’s Committee chairmanship at the ward level in the urban government model in Ho Chi Minh City is an urgent requirement and of significance. This study aims to identify criteria as a basis for perfecting the statute of the people’s committee chairmanship at the ward level in urban governments based on the survey results and analysis of the current situation, thereby proposing a number of solutions to improving this statute in the coming time.
