A survey of English learning among the police force at the commune level in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

In today’s era, when the world is entering a knowledge-based economy, to integrate deeply into global developmental trends, one indispensable thing for every citizen is the ability to use a foreign language, especially English. Through studying the current situation of the capacity of and need for using English among the police force at the commune level in Ho Chi Minh City today, the author proposes solutions to meeting their expectations in learning and using English. The topic can be used as a reference in further research on training the People’s Police force.
