Abstract
InVietnam,thermalpowerplantsproducemillionsoftonsofflyashperyearandcausealotofproblemsfortheenvironment.There-useofflyashasmineraladditivesintheproductionofbuildingmaterialssuchascement,concreteetcisacomprehensivesolutionthatbringshighsocio-economicefficiency.However,toachievehighefficiency,thetechnicalspecificationsindexofflyashneedstobestudiedandevaluatedindetailbecausethecontentofaddedflyashisveryimportantforproducingandmanufacturingprocesses.ThispaperaimstostudytheinfluenceofFormosaflyashonthemechanicalpropertiesattheearlyageofcementpaste.Themechanicalpropertiesofthesampleswhichcontainalternatively10÷30%offlyashwasmeasuredattheearlyages(1,3,and7days)byexperimentalmethods.Inaddition,themicrostructureanalysisanddifferentialthermalanalysismethodshavebeenusedtointerprettheobtainedresults
