Analysis of factors influencing people’s intention to use PayLater e-wallets in Bien Hoa City (before the merger)
Abstract
The study aims to identify the factors influencing the intention to use PayLater e-wallet services among residents in Bien Hoa City, through the mediating roles of Risk, Trust, and Attitude towards the service, to provide a foundation for businesses operating under the “Buy Now Pay Later model” to improve and enhance service quality. Data was collected from 208 respondents who are familiar with BNPL e-wallets such as Momo, SPaylater, ZaloPay, etc., in Bien Hoa City. The model was validated through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis. The study indicates that Subjective Norms, Familiarity, and Perceived Ease of Use indirectly influence the intention to use BNPL e-wallets through the mediating variables Risk, Trust and Attitude.
