Building new rural areas according to Ho Chi Minh’s thought and its application in An Giang Province today

Abstract

Ho Chi Minh’s Thought on building new rural areas presents a comprehensive vision, improving physical infrastructure, enhancing spiritual life, and developing culture, education, and social organization. He emphasized the central role of farmers, the importance of coordination between the State and the people, the role of Party cells, political and social organizations, and patriotic emulation movements. Based on the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies on building new rural areas, An Giang Province has applied its thought by synchronously implementing various policies and action programs aimed at modernizing rural areas, restructuring agriculture, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. This article summarizes the core elements of Ho Chi Minh’s Thought on new rural development, its application, and the obtained outcomes in An Giang Province in recent years. From this foundation, the author proposes several solutions to further promote the construction of new rural areas in An Giang Province in the future.
