Abstract
Nguyen Minh Khong (1065-1141) was born in Diem village (currently known as Quoc Thanh village, Gia Thang commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province). His life is said to be legendary. He was a Buddhist monk, living during the Ly dynasty, and having a talent for healing. He is also worshiped by many local people as the father of bronze casting. After his death, the people honored him as a Saint - Saint Nguyen.
Saint Nguyen has a great influence in the cultural life of residents in many localities of the Northern Delta, including Yen Mo region, Ninh Binh province. However, so far, no one has studied the influence and imprint of Saint Nguyen in the cultural life of residents in Yen Mo, Ninh Binh.
