Grammar and semantic activities of adjectives in to Huu's poem collection Que me

Abstract

Adjectives are one of the three basic word types of real words. The subtypes of adjectives are expressed in a very diverse and rich way both in terms of structure and lexical semantics. Studying the poem collection “Que me” by poet To Huu, we find that the class of adjectives used by the author is quite flexible in terms of both grammatical and semantic activities in each line of poetry. There is currently no work examining adjectives in terms of grammatical and semantic activities in To Huu's poem collection “Que me”. Therefore, with this article, we will proceed to clearly describe the word-type ability of adjectives in the actual use of poetic language, and on that basis, point out the usage values of adjectives to serve the author's artistic intentions. In particular, we pay special attention to the author's ability to creatively apply adjectives in each verse, giving adjectives flexible grammatical capabilities while also increasing the value of linguistic expression. The meaning of each adjective when put into practice using artistic language.
