Research, design and manufacture of the catfish skin peeling machine

Abstract

This paper presented the research, design and manufacture of the catfish skin peeling machine with a capacity of 1200 fish slices/hour. The principle of operation of the cutting assembly of the catfish skin peeling machine has been defined and designed to provide a stable process of peeling the fish; the feed conveyor has been designed to synchronize with the cutter assembly and to help the fish slice easily enter the cutter assembly; the unit cutting force and cutting power of the catfish peeling machine were also calculated; the required resistance F_c to increase the traction on the skin of fish has also been determined, to make the peeling process of the fish possible.
