Abstract
In the context of the 2018 General Education Program being implemented at the primary school level, the new teaching theories during the deployment of the 2018 General Education Program need to be effectively applied in teaching practice. This study conducted a survey of 250 teachers instructing classes of grade 1, 2, and 3 at primary schools in Buon Ma Thuot city of Dak Lak province as a basis for analyzing the factors influencing the application of new teaching theories in practical teaching during the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program. This study points out that: firstly, teachers play an intermediary role, bridging the gap for the application of teaching theories into teaching practice; secondly, classroom teaching sessions facilitate the transformation between teaching theories and teaching practice; thirdly, teaching equipment plays a significant role in achieving the objectives of applying theories into practice. Lastly, management regulations play a guiding role for teachers to apply and transform theories into practice and vice versa. By clarifying the roles of the aforementioned factors, the result of this study serves as a reference to assist teachers and management levels in taking positive and appropriate measures to meet the requirements and goals of implementing the 2018 General Education Program at the primary school level.
