Proposal to select an anti-corrosion additive combination for concrete in aggressive environment
Abstract
Vietnam has a coastline stretching over 3000 km, so many reinforced concrete structures are located in highly aggressive environments. The repair and maintenance of these structures are very difficult, expensive, and even do not increase the operating load to meet current standards. Therefore, when constructing new works as well as future maintenance work, especially constructions along the coast (in marine climates), there is a requirement to have durability against the corrosion of the environment. To resist this corrosive effect, it is necessary to create a strong and highly anti-corrosion protective concrete layer. Within the scope of the research, the article initially proposes the selection of suitable admixtures to improve the durability of concrete to help the building be protected more safely.
