Structural solution of prestressed concrete doubleT-girder bridge with cast-in-place contruction
Abstract
Cast-in-place concrete girder bridge structures have the advantage of full-block, can apply pour-in-place technology on fixed or movable scaffolding system (MSS). It is necessary to study and apply light self-weight bridge structures suitable for this type of technology. At present, bridges constructed in situ on fixed and movable scaffolding system often have box-shaped or hollow-plate cross-sections. The arrangement of the inner formwork makes the construction longer and more complicated. This paper presents a structural solution for a solid, coreless, double T section girder bridge, built in place, with a hybrid shape between T and box, easy to construct. This study focuses on analyzing and comparing double T beams with equivalent beams being used in Vietnam. The conclusion shows that this structure has low self-weight and stability, which can be applied at the locations of viaducts, overpasses, intersections with fixed scaffolding or can also be applied to bridges across rivers according to movable scaffolding system.
