Solutions for tourism development at traditional craft villages in Hanoi

Abstract

This study proposed 5 groups of factors that influence the development of traditional craft villages in Hanoi, including: product factors, nfrastructure, people, hygiene-environment, and safety-security. The impact of these factor groups on the developmentof traditional craft village tourism in Hanoi was assessed through expert analysis. The survey results show that among these factor groups, people were evaluated most positively, while the safety-security factor had the least positive impact. Based on thesurvey results, the authors proposed solutions for the development of traditional craft village tourism in Hanoi, including: diversifying and simultaneously applying scientific and technological advancements to promote the unique products of craft villages, developing the infrastructure of craft villages, training and enhancing the existing workforce to support craft village tourism, preserving the environment and natural landscapes of craft villages, and strengthening safety and security for tourists.
