Current status and proposed orientations for building a system of technical standards for urban railways in Vietnam

Abstract

When developing the railway system in general and urban railway in particular, all work related to urban railway must be carried out in compliance with design, construction and inspection standards and regulations, maintenance of structures, products, etc. to ensure safe and efficient operation throughout the life of the building. The article explores the current status of standards applied in UMRT projects and studies the railway standardization platform of countries and organizations around the world. This study will contribute to help guide the selection of national standards (TCVN) related to urban railway in terms of design, construction, inspection and maintenance, in Vietnam.
