Develop logistics sustainably in Vietnam in the context of the Industrial revolution 4.0

Abstract

The logistics industry has entered a boom period around the world, but in Vietnam, this industry is still in its infancy, although our country has focused a lot of resources on developing this service industry in recent times. Some shortcomings in the development of logistics services in Vietnam include the fact that logistics service providers only partially meet the needs of the domestic market; infrastructure conditions to develop this service in Vietnam are still very limited; lack of specific legal corridors; financial and customs issues related to logistics services are still inadequate; lack of high-quality human resources. Besides, the industrial revolution 4.0 requires industries in society to transform themselves in a smarter direction to respond to society's needs. With an important role in the development of Vietnam in general and businesses in particular, logistics must also catch up with the trend of thisindustrial revolution. This article focuses on studying the factors affecting logistics activities in Vietnam, especially under the influence of international economic integration and the Industrial Revolution 4.0, and proposes some solutions to help develop the logistics industry to develop sustainably.
