Fabrication of heavy metal adsorption materials in water from coal slag of the Thai Binh Thermal power plant Part I: Fabrication of material particles and testing materials sustainability in water
Keywords:
coal slag, material granules, wet chemistry.
Abstract
Coal slag is an industrial waste from thermal power plants that causes negative effects on the environment sach as air pollution, soil pollution, and water pollution. Therefore, managing and recycling the coal slag is essential. Based on the knowledge of coal slag’s ingredients, we conducted this study to create material granules from coal slag and the water resistance of the materials of Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant. Study results show that material granules made from coal slag and kaolin with a ratio of 10:3 were heated at 400ºC, obtaining high water sustainability.
