University–Industry Collaboration in Developing Digital Technology Human Resources in Vietnam: Experiences and Solutions
Abstract
Amid the accelerating wave of global digital transformation, the demand for developing digital technology human resources has become increasingly urgent, posing new challenges for Vietnam’s higher education system. The study focuses on analyzing the role of collaboration between universities and enterprises in developing digital human resources, a critical factor ensuring national competitiveness in the knowledge-based economy. Employing a systematic approach and secondary data synthesis, the research clarifies the current status of university–industry collaboration in Vietnam, identifying limitations in coordination mechanisms, training quality, and learners’ adaptability to digital labor market demands. International experiences are utilized to propose feasible solutions that enhance the effectiveness of cooperation among stakeholders, thereby fostering an open educational ecosystem linking universities, enterprises, and the government in developing high-quality digital human resources. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications for policymaking on digital workforce development in Vietnam toward 2030, with a vision to 2045.
