Application of YOLOv11 algorithm for detecting license plate of vehicles

Abstract
Artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning are increasingly developing, deep learning takes the idea from human neural networks to build intelligent algorithms. Deep learning models of artificial intelligence have the ability to learn from existing data, to process and make decisions quickly and automatically. This article presents the research and application of the YOLOv11 model to recognize license plates. The authors use the YOLOv11n model to retrain a custom dataset, including license plate images and license plate characters. The training results show that the model achieves high accuracy mAP over 99.4%, fast processing time, proving that the model is feasible when applied in practice.
