Circular economy experiences of Asian countries: lessons and implications for Vietnam
Abstract
The current problem for most countries is finding alternative resources to serve specific production sectors. In the context of the resource crisis, the circular economy is considered an essential solution to reduce waste, optimize resource use, and protect the environment, and is a model of sustainable development. This article clarifies the concept and principles of circular economy and synthesizes circular economy models from advanced countries, including successful strategies and policies, as well as challenges encountered. From there, it proposes recommendations and lessons for Vietnam in promoting the transition to a circular economy. The results of this study not only provide insights into the development of a circular economy in Vietnam but also contribute to building a more sustainable foundation for the national economy.
