Overview of structural tunel protection solution against rockfall with cast-in-place contruction

Abstract

Economic and human losses due to slope instability and annual slippage activities are huge. There are many causes mentioned and many solutions have been proposed and applied in traffic in Vietnam. Male. In this article, the author mentions a solution thathas not been applied in Vietnam but has the ability to effectively and permanently prevent falling rocks, reducing the risk of road congestion when rockfall occurs. Prefabricated tunnels are a solution that needs to be researched and applied on roads with a high risk of slipping and falling rocks. Structural and construction solutions are presented in the article. The structure is diverse in types, materials, and assembly technology suitable to the situation on mountainous roads where slipping and rockfall occur.
