Application of Blended Learning in English teaching
Abstract
The increasingly advanced education technology is posing new requirements and challenges for universities in terms of teaching and learning methods. The University of Transport Technology is a public university, training in an applied direction. To meet the requirements of the new era, the blended learning model with the mix of offline and online is considered a suitable solution. This study was conducted on 196 students studying various majors at the University of Transport Technology (UTT) and 18 English lecturers. Based on the analysis of theories on blended learning, the current training situation at UTT and current regulations, requirements for blended learning and survey results of students and lecturers, the the blended learning model combining the flipped classroom and rotating classroom method is proposed for training of General English subject at the University of Transport Technology.
