Abstract

Using conventional scientific research
methods in Physical Education and Sports (PES),
the study evaluates the current situation regarding
the demand for extracurricular physical education
and sports activities at Vietnam Maritime
University (VMU) in terms of facilities, interest
levels, needs, and motivations for extracurricular
PES participation among students. It also assesses
the actual participation rates and the reasons for
non-participation in extracurricular PES activities
by VMU students. Based on this, the study aims to
propose solutions for organizing extracurricular
physical education and sports activities to enhance
the physical fitness of VMU students, thereby
contributing to the improvement of physical
education quality at the university.
