STUDYING ON PRODUCTION HERBAL MOUTHWASH FROM LEAF OF PIPER BETLE AND CAMELLIA SINENSIS

Abstract

The leaves of the Camellia sinensis and the leaves of the Piper betle are medicinal herbs favored by Vietnamese people in particular and Asian people in general. The goal of this study is to apply extraction techniques and antibiotic model analysis techniques to create antibacterial herbal mouthwash, contributing to the prevention of oral diseases. The results of the study were recorded as follows: 1) The recovery rate of extract from Camellia sinensis leaves was 38.41% and Piper betle was 39.16%; 2) Find out the best mouthwash treatment of 2 herbs when used separately: i) Piper betle mouthwash (TK2: 70% extract + 30% distilled water) with circle diameter resistant to bacteria Staphylococcus aureus 15 mm; ii) Camellia sinensis mouthwash (TX2: 70% extract + 30% distilled water) with a circle diameter of 14.0 mm against Staphylococcus aureus; 3) Herbal mouthwash when mixed with other herbal ingredients are both reached antibacterial ability; in which, Camellia sinensis + Piper betle mouthwash has an antibacterial ring diameter of 15 mm
