Abstract
This study identifies factors influencing the investment intentions and actual investment behavior of young Vietnamese investors based on the Theory of Intentional Behavior, and assesses the impact of behavioral friction barriers to clarify the transformation from intention to investment behavior. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and surveys using a 5-point Likert scale. The research results show that factors such as attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively impact investment intention. Furthermore, intention and perceived behavioral control also positively influence investment behavior, and the friction score plays a moderating role in this model
