Factors Affecting Career Choice Decisions of Final-Year Students at the University of Transport and Communication
Abstract
In the context of Vietnam’s rapidly changing labor market driven by economic integration and structural transformation, career choice decisions among final-year university students have become a critical issue. This study examines factors influencing career choice decisions of final-year students at the University of Transport and Communications using a quantitative research approach. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS, the results indicate that five groups of factors-personal factors, family factors, social and labor market factors, educational factors, and job characteristics and working environment-have significant positive effects on students’ career choice decisions. Among these, personal factors and job characteristics exert the strongest influence.
