Training a High-Quality Nursing Workforce to Meet Labor Market Demands in Vietnam
Abstract
In the context of increasing healthcare needs, developing a workforce of nurses with strong professional qualifications and practical skills has become a crucial requirement for the healthcare system. Based on the orientation for developing high-quality human resources according to Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, this article analyzes the requirements for nursing training in the current period. The results show that the demand for nursing personnel in Vietnam is increasing, while training at some higher education institutions still lags behind the practical requirements of the healthcare system and the labor market. Based on this, the article proposes several directions to improve the quality of nursing training through a competency-based approach, enhancing clinical practice, and promoting cooperation between training institutions and healthcare facilities.
