Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) on the Law on Children in Vietnam. The study focuses on clarifying how the
principles of the UNCRC are internalized and implemented in practice, while simultaneously promoting educational reforms and expanding access to education for children. The paper also points out the gap between legislation and enforcement. Furthermore, traditional cultural differences pose certain challenges, which partly create contradictions in implementing the rights stipulated in the Convention. Consequently, the article argues for a flexible approach to harmonize international norms with domestic socio-cultural conditions, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of child rights implementation, particularly in the field of education.
