Giải pháp nâng cao trách nhiệm xã hội trong hoạt động của các ngân hàng thương mại ở Việt Nam
Abstract
This article analyzes corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the banking sector, focusing on the Vietnamese commercial banking system in the context of increasingly prominent demands for sustainable development and green growth. Based on stakeholder theory and the ISO standard concept of CSR, the article systematizes the concept, content, and specific aspects of CSR implementation in banks. From there, the article assesses the current state of CSR implementation in Vietnamese commercial banks, highlighting some positive results but also emphasizing the bias towards community and charitable activities, while content related to the environment, green credit, green banking, and environmental and social risk management has not received adequate attention. Based on this foundation, the article proposes a group of solutions to improve policies and enhance the effectiveness of CSR implementation, thereby supporting the sustainable development goals of the banking industry
