Vietnamese law on state immunity – Shortcomings and remedies

Abstract
State immunity is an issue of modern private international law. In the modern flat world, nations and states are participating in economic, civil law transactions more deeply than ever without revealing much sovereignty. Thus, state immunity has provided very important protection for the state, helped the state to acknowledge the immunity limitation, especially in civil and economic relations. In this article, the author analyses Vietnamese law on national immunity, focusing on the shortcomings of the current law and providing proposals to improve the law.
