Continuously innovating constitution-making activities to address the requirements in building and improving the rule-of-law socialist state of Vietnam in the new situation

Abstract

Continuously innovating constitution-making activities to address the requirements in building and improving the rule-of-law socialist state of Vietnam is an objective inevitability that is appropriate to the rules of development of the country. In the new period, this requires the basis of Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology on constitution-making, the experience and constitutional values of Vietnam throughout the ages, the Party’s new requirements, political viewpoints, constitutionalism theories in general and Vietnamese constitutionalism in particular, the current state of the country’s Constitution, and other countries’ experiences in constitution-making, from which to gain a complete view on innovating constitution-making activities in the new period. This article preliminarily clarifies the abovementioned issues in constitution-making activities in the new period.
