Protecting computer programmes as trade secrets

Abstract
This article clarifies the legal aspects of trade secrets for computer programmes, such as the definition, the criteria and limits to protection; and analyses trade secret infringements against computer programmes and legal liability for infringing acts. Thereby, the article makes a number of suggestions to improve the current law and the protection of computer programmes as trade secrets, such as proofs in litigation, the right to decompile computer programmes, and increasing the effectiveness of protecting computer programmes as trade secrets in Vietnam.
