Legal policies regarding green economic transition across global jurisdictions and insights for Vietnam
Abstract
The transition to a green economy has become an inevitable trend for many countries worldwide as climate change and environmental pollution become more and more serious. As a later-stage transition, learning from international experiences in this field is crucial for Vietnam in order to identify highly effective solutions while mitigating risks and challenges. This article provides an overview of the green economic transition and the necessity of such policies in the current context. Additionally, it focuses on analysing some legal policies on green transition from various countries worldwide, including the United States, South Korea, and Singapore; from these analyses, it draws lessons to be applied in developing legal policies for future green economic transition in Vietnam.
