People detained in cases of emergency as provided in the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code

Abstract

People detained in cases of emergency are a new type of participant in legal proceedings prescribed in the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code. However, there are some weaknesses in these provisions that make further research necessary. This paper studies the provisions of the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code on people detained in cases of emergency, identifies the existing limitations and shortcomings, and makes some recommendations to strengthen criminal procedure law on this subject matter in order to ensure the legality and efficiency of resolving criminal cases and protecting human rights in criminal proceedings.
