Legal provisions on stock market supervision in Vietnam

Abstract

The stock market plays an important role in the economic development of each country. The characteristics of this market include the participation of a variety of entities and constant risks for stock investors. The recent cases of legal violations in the stock market in Vietnam demonstrate that monitoring this market is very necessary to warn and prevent risks for participating entities and handle violations, protecting the rights of investors. Through studying a number of theoretical issues on the legal provisions in Vietnam on stock market supervision and evaluating their inadequacies, this article proposes some solutions for improvement.
