Abstract

Renewable energy, as a clean energy source, is actively promoted by the Vietnamese government to gradually replace traditional coal energy and minimise environmental pollution. To foster this transition, the government has implemented various policies, notably the application of feed-in tariffs (FiTs), which are considered effective measures to attract investment and establish a robust, sustainable renewable energy market. This article introduces the FiTs regulatory framework in Vietnam and examines legislative experiences from the Federal Republic of Germany, making recommendations for refining Vietnamese laws. The goal is to align FiTs pricing with market principles and encourage advancements in modern technology in the production and operation of renewable energy projects.
