t Enhancing the effectiness of education at communes, wards, district towns applied to minors committing law violations

Abstract

Education at communes, wards, district towns applied to minors committing law violations means administrative handling measure which aims to educate them, to correct their behaviours and to overcome causes and conditions of commiting law violations while they are not separate from the community environment. The application of education to minors in the community has become a common trend in many countries due to its humanity, effectiveness in prevention of law violations and cost savings. The application of this measure in Vietnam, however, does not gain high effectiveness and mainly is insubstantial. The paper analyses the role of education at communes, wards, district towns applied to minors committing law violations. It points out the limitations of applying this measure and offers some suggestions to enhance the effectiveness of education at at communes, wards, district towns applied to minors in Vietnam at present.
