Traditional ethical values and the necessity of inheriting these values in promulgating and refining Vietnam’s current regulations
Abstract
Through hundreds of generations and thousands of years of building and protecting our country, Vietnamese people have developed a long-established and unique sense of morality. As a result of the continuous development of history, the sense of morality plays a vital role in Vietnamese cultural identity. In general, the widely recognized moral principles in our society include patriotism, solidarity, community consciousness, kindness, tolerance, gratitude; diligence, thriftiness, appreciation for family and teachers. A comprehensive law system must be compatible with the moral principles of the country. Consequently, the inheritance of cultural sense of morality has becoming not only necessary requirements for the law itself but also the important steps to build up, preserve and develop a modern but unique culture following the rules of development.
