Content of the presumption of innocence principle in French and Vietnamese criminal procedure laws

Abstract
Presumption of innocence is a fundamental principle in French and Vietnamese criminal procedure laws. The two countries has their own legislative techniques in providing for the content of the presumption of innocence principle. Vietnam's criminal procedure law is more successful in providing for the limitation of the presumption of innocence, but it is also necessary to refer to the French legislative experiences in the provision on the scope of the subjects to be presumed innocent; explaining suspicion in favor of the suspect and the accused; measures in order to prevent, remedy and deal with violations of the presumption of innocence principle.
