The European Union's Human Rights Policy towards Vietnam and some countermeasure proposals

Abstract
Promoting and protecting human rights is a focus of the European Union's (EU) foreign policy with other countries, including Vietnam. The Vietnam - EU cooperation relationship always includes human rights issues, including trade and investment agreements such as the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement. The article focuses on analysing the context of the formation and content of the EU's human rights policy towards Vietnam, making policy assessments, and proposing recommendations to promote comprehensive Vietnam - EU cooperation in promoting and protecting human rights.
