Abstract
The article provides theoretical aspects of legal analogy, one of the important legal reasoning methods that have been widely used in the application of law in common law jurisdictions and have been gradually used in civil law jurisdictions. In particular, the article analyses issues of the nature of legal analogy, the steps of legal reasoning by way of analogy, as well as the significance of legal analogy in the application of law.
