Abstract

On January 28, 1941, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc returned to the homeland, from Pac Bo (Cao Bang province), directly led the Vietnamese revolution. From August 1942 to early 1945, under the new name Ho Chi Minh, he made three trips to China to conduct an extremely arduous diplomatic struggle aimed at securing a worthy international position for the Vietnamese revolution on the international stage and thereby gaining substantial support in many aspects for the struggle for national independence and freedom. From Pac Bo, Ho Chi Minh’s three trips abroad were the pivotal events and historical milestones marking the beginning of modern Vietnamese diplomacy.
